Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream

I got a Cuisinart ice cream maker for Christmas and just finally used it. The recipe I used came from a starter kit I bought from William Sonoma. It tasted really good and a good first try at using my ice cream maker. Recipe below!

Ingredients:

Strawberry Starter Kit packet from William Sonoma

1 1/2 cups Half & Half

1 1/2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream

Directions:

1. Whisk together Half & Half with the starter kit packet until the powder has dissolved

2. Stir in Heavy Whipping Cream

3. Put in ice cream maker for 20 minutes or until your desired firmness

Good to note, the bowl that comes with the ice cream maker, needs to be frozen before use. You can also put the ice cream in a freezer tight container to make it thicker. I froze mine overnight and it tasted very delicious! Next time I will make it harder on myself and not use the starter kit.

Enjoy!!
